Here is something new from Papercutz. A new series of original graphic novels published in paperback with french flaps. This is the story of a traditional witch whose job has become redundant. She must find another line of work to keep the bats and familiars' tummies full so she winds up working as a Lunch Lady for the local elementary school. There she meets a girl who guesses her secret and tries to blackmail her. Both characters are likable and this is a warm feel-good story about friendship. I loved the dark, Goth-like art, which the publisher compares to Gorey but I'd say that's going a bit far (no-one compares to Edward Gorey!) It is a pleasant read with some light-hearted dark humour. Lots of fun!
