Mr Pants (#1)

This is just plain adorable. First, I was really happy that the book is one continuous story as it looked at first glance like a set of episodes but no. This is a Mum who has three children, they are all cats, 2 girls and a boy, our hero, Mr. Pants. It's the last day of summer vacation and the girls want to go to a "Build-a-Princess" activity store, Mum needs to take them shopping to get her older two back to school stuff; but, Mr Pants wants to play laser tag, and they'll only go if they have time after the other stuff. What I really liked about this is the characters behaviour isn't typical and you don't know what to expect. For ex, in the Princess store, Mr. Pants asks why there are no weapons or armour for the dolls because even if they are beautiful they have to protect themselves. Then he has the whole store full of girls making ninja and warrior princesses by refashioning the supplies they are given, but at the end, Mr. Pants changes his mind and just makes a pretty princess because he found a purple veil that matched her dress perfectly. LOL. A funny event happens in each chapter as Mr Pants tries to hurry them along and his sisters cause him trouble. I also love the art; it is based on simple shapes and will have readers who are budding artists drawing the characters quite successfully.

Mr Pants (#2)

Another funny adventure of Mr Pants, his two feline sisters and a human mother. This time, Mr P wants to enter a film contest and has one day to submit his entry but he can only work on it after chores and his sister's tea party if there is time. This is a similar set up to the first book. Mr P. decides to keep the camera rolling all day whether it's him or his little sister filming. Hi-jinx abound and it becomes quite the day for all concerned. Book one was better but this still has all the fun and the cutest art.

Mr Pants (#3)

Third book and they are still going strong. This time, the family gets stuck in the airport for bad weather on Halloween. The kids play games to keep themselves amused but ultimately the eldest two are playing for points because the loser has to do "the Thing!". Funny and cute, plus there are lots of in-jokes if you've read the previous books.
