This is a real feel-good superhero comic suitable for middle grade and up; there are a few curse words. Champion has all the good qualities of a golden age superhero and faces all the realities of mixing a normal life with superhero duties including the moral dilemnas. I was really taken with Michael Midas and found his character entirely lovable, sort of a cross between Peter Parker and Clark Kent. His wife, Dani is a strong supporting character and his personal/family life made the story sweet. At the same time, Truck is an imaginative and unique supervillain. This volume spends time investing in the plot, building the tension and bringing it to a head leaving us with several questions waiting to be answered in the next volume. I loved the art too! Can't wait for Book Two!
