Noragami: Stray Stories, Vol. 1
Noragami: Stray God, Vol. 8.5
This isn't a regular book in the Noragami series but a side shoot called "Stray Stories" and it remains unclear whether there will be another volume, or not. To read the book chronologically it would be placed between volumes 8 and 9. I'm much further along in the series and some of the characters have changed since they appear here but not so much that the situations and humour found here is a fun break from the ongoing series. This is a collection of short stories most feature Yato but each also focuses on a different character. We learn information about things that don't really come up in the telling of the main series such as: how shinki find their jobs, the gods get yearly employee satisfaction/non-satisfied surveys every year and Yato has a few cases to solve. Not as good as the series proper but a perfectly fun diversion for fans!
