The Castoffs, V.2: Into The Wastelands by Brian Smith

A decent juvenile fantasy which broadly carries on from the first volume. Events from that book are discussed and praised, but trouble starts when some mages go back to make sure the saved village is okay. Then the Castoffs team is sent on another mission while their frequent run-ins with another team of mages cause great discord. Not as good as the first volume but moving on nicely.
