22. Dalston Monsterzz by Dilraj Mann
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
Strange. The plot skips around making it difficult to really understand what is going on but it does all unravel by the end. I really enjoyed the main characters and the alternate world was interesting. It's London, where monsters roam the streets at night and teenagers have created a fad of riding the monsters. From this the whole population is divided into gangs. Our main character starts off getting out of jail for stealing a bottle of water and gets involved with the gangs and intrigue. The art is weird but oddly delightful.
