On first look, this delightful book appears deceptively simplistic. Cute black and white illustrations are accompanied by a story that starts out with a busy princess and a grouchy king. However hidden inside these pages is a lovely story about love and friendship full of humour that made me grin, chuckle and sigh. Oh, and it takes place in the underworld, is populated with zombies, vampires, ghosts and such. The princess and the count are adorable ageless characters; the princess is young enough to be under her father's control, but they are both old enough for love. I'm very smitten with this, it has a fairy tale quality to it while being drawn in a cute Goth presentation. Wonderful children's story but I think any Goth vampire princess will love it too!
